St Ignatius College Alumni host fundraising Dinner

On a beautiful illuminated evening proud alumni member of the St Ignatius College braved the cold to dine and wine at a fundraising and networking dinner organised by the Alumni committee.

The dinner, held in a glorious hall at Cresta Lodge, followed the establishment of the college’s Alumni Association in 2016.

The committee endeavours to set up a coherent alumni networking platform which can raise money for the maintenance and development of infrastructure at St Ignatius College.’

In a light moment address to the alumni, Mr. Gabriel Chipara welcomed the alumni and invited the guests to support the college to its betterment. 

Dr Clemence Chidziva, an ear specialist and former student was guest of honour. He reminded the guests that giving, generously, edifies the heart and the soul.

Around 200 alumni attended.

Fr Chiedza Chimhanda SJ, who also attended school at the college expressed his gratitude to the committee and to the Jesuits who offered their service through St Ignatius College, to transform the lives of young men and women.

Some of the projects the alumni are embarking on include renovations of the chapel, repairing the hall’s ceiling and several ageing infrastructure.
