 Ordained at St Peter's Mbare on 26 July 2014

 

Fr Isaac-El Fernandes SJ

Isaac was born in Harare at Mbuya Nehanda MaternityHome 

and began his primary school at St. Michael’s Preparatory. 

Having finished his A-Levels at St. Georges College in 2001,

he took a gap year travelling and working 

in Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Returning from his travels, he joined the Society of Jesus in 2003.

Then followed four years of philosophy at Arrupe College,

after which he was missioned for regency, teaching at Makumbi Mission.

He completed theology studies at Centre Sevres, Paris in 2014

and was ordained priest at St Peter's Mbare on 26 July the same year.

He is currently at St Peter’s Mbare as assistant pastor.

 

Isaac enjoys playing tennis and reading. 

 


Fr Batanai Ignatius Padya SJ

Batanai was born on the 21st February 1984 in Guruve.

He did his primary education at Chimufombo Primary.

He went on to do his O level and A level studies 

at Lord Malvern High in Waterfalls.

Batanai joined the novitiate in 2003. 

He completed his philosophical studies at Arrupe in 2009.

He was then posted to teach at St Ignatius College for regency.

He completed theology studies at Centre Sevres, Paris in 2014

and was ordained priest at St Peter's Mbare on 26 July the same year.

He is now at St Ignatius’ College as chaplain and teacher. 

Batanai has a passion for youth initiatives, politics, and swimming.

He enjoys interacting with different people, 

listening to all kinds of good music

 

and being of any help to those in need.

 
 


Fr Tafadzwa Masakare SJ


fter completing philosophy and humanities studies at Arrupe College, 

Tafadzwa studied theology

at Institut de Théologie de la Compagie de Jésus, 

in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

He then spent a year working at St Peter’s Mbare,

where he was ordained priest  on 26 July 2014.

 

He is currently at Chishawasha Mission as assistant pastor.
